Vershawn Eley is honored and committed to be the Dean of Students of King’s Fork High School. He has served at Plymouth High School (2006-2008) in North Carolina, three years at Culpeper High School (2008-2011), three years Auburn Middle School (2011-2014), Essex High School (2014-2015) as School Counselor and is now in his second year as a Bulldog (2015 – present).
Mr. Eley is a 1992 graduate of Kecoughtan High School, received a basketball scholarship from Tulane University in New Orleans (1992-1995) and transferred to Elizabeth City State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice in 1996. While at Elizabeth City State, Mr. Eley became a proud member of the CIAA northern Division and South Atlantic Regional Championship basketball team. He received his Master’s Degree in Education with concentration in Counseling from Cambridge College (2006) along with Advanced Master’s in Education (2011) with a concentration in Educational Leadership. He has also served in the private sector as a Psychotherapist (2006-Present). He has also served as a head basketball coach during his 10 years in education.
Mr. Eley resides in North Carolina and is a proud member of the Delta Iota Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and a member of Who’s Who in Education. Mr.Eley loves being a Bulldog and spending time with his wife and three children.
