Award Recipients
L-R: Mr. Baxter, Counselor; Ezekiel Pearson, Aiden Yang, Mr. Bryant, Principal

King's Fork High School would like to congratulate two young men who received prestigious awards.

Ezekiel Pearson has been selected to receive a Princeton Book Award for demonstrating exceptional talent, competence, and leadership in both academic and non-academic pursuits.  Only eleven students were selected for this honor throughout the Hampton Roads area.  This year's award is Welcome to the Universe: An Astrophysical Tour, by Princeton Astronomy Professors Michael Strauss and Richard Gott, along with Neil deGrasse Tyson, who formerly taught at Princeton.

Aiden Yang was awarded The William & Mary Leadership Award, which is presented to the one student who best exemplifies the spirit of King's Fork High School.  Award recipients are selected because of their demonstration of the following:  inspirational leadership, outstanding scholarship, and unwavering loyalty to the high school community.  Each award recipient was presented with a copy of A Passion for Leadership, written by William & Mary alumnus and current Chancellor, Robert Gates, Class of 1965.
