Welcome to King's Fork!  A message from our Principal, Mr. Derrick Bryant

Bulldog Family,

Welcome to King's Fork High School, Home of the Bulldogs!  We are excited to have this opportunity to welcome you to our school.  Our commitment at King's Fork is to provide a safe and intellectually challenging environment that will empower students to become innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers and inspired learners prepared to thrive in the twenty-first century.

High standards and expectations for each student in regard to academic performance, co-curricular participation and responsible citizenship are the foundation of our school.  It is with pride that we hold these high standards and ask each of our students to commit to maintaining the extraordinary record of achievement and contribution that has been the legacy of King's Fork High School students for the past 17 years.

The 2020-21 school year was fraught with challenges.  I am proud to say that not only did our staff and students meet them, but overcame them.  We still have challenges ahead.  As COVID-19 remains present in our community, we find it necessary to require all students, staff, and visitors to wear a mask while in the school.  We take staff and student health and safety seriously here at KFHS, and will be enforcing this rule daily.

We plan to offer a full academic and extra-curricular experience.  While we don’t know what the future will hold, at the present time, sports are back in session.  Our Band and teams are practicing and athletic contests have begun.  We hope you all come out to support our students.

We encourage our parents to get your students back on a regular wake and sleep schedule.  This will facilitate the transition from hybrid/virtual learning back to the rigors of a daily in-person school schedule.  Our students should be in the building by 8:15am and will be released at 3:00pm.  We further encourage our parents to schedule appointments outside of the school day whenever possible.

Thank you for all of your support during these trying times and I look forward to an exciting and fulfilling school year.

Sincerely,

Derrick Bryant
Principal, King’s Fork High School
