Uniform of the Day (UOD)

January 7 and 8:  Tie / tie tab for all blocks.

January 14 and 15:  Service coat for all blocks.

January 21 and 22:  Do not wear uniforms due to exam week / schedule.

Uniform Days:  Wednesday and Thursday are always our uniform days unless announced otherwise.

Uniform Wear Policy:  During class on uniform days, each cadet will participate in an open ranks uniform inspection, and these inspections will count as graded assignments.  Cadets are required to wear the uniform according to the same instruction as the active duty Air Force, with minor exceptions.  Proper wear of the uniform is perhaps the most important aspect of the program.  Failure to wear the uniform during an inspection results in a grade of zero for that inspection.  Failure to wear the uniform two or more times during any one quarter, as required by both school and Air Force policies, will result in a failing grade for that quarter.  Cadets are required to wear their uniforms once each week, Wednesday or Thursday, whichever day corresponds to their attendance in ROTC for that particular week.  Cadets must wear their uniform all day, 7:45 AM to 2:15 PM, on uniform days and make-up days (explained below).

Missed Uniform Inspection Make-up Policy:

             a.  Due to Excused Absence:  If a cadet misses a uniform inspection due to an excused absence, he/she is required to make it up the next time he/she attends ROTC class in order to receive a grade.  Failure to make up the inspection results in a grade of zero.

             b.  Due to Failure to Wear the Uniform or Unexcused Absence:  In this case, cadets may wear their uniforms on Monday following the week in which they missed the inspection.  These make-up inspections will take place at 2:30 PM every Monday.  Maximum grade will be 69.  The benefit is that a grade of 69 is much less detrimental to the cadet’s overall grade than a zero, plus it will not count as a failure to wear the uniform.
