Rules and Expectations
1. Students are required to attend class regularly. You can’t do well if you are not in class!
2. Bring all required materials to class. Always have pencil, pen, paper, and folder.
3. Respect each other. Be polite.
4. Absolutely no eating, chewing, or drinking in the computer lab.
5. All students are to report to class on time. Students are not allowed to stand in the doorway and wait for the tardy bell to sound.
6. Students must clean their workspace after each class period.
7. Make-up work must be completed within 5 days of an absence. Students are responsible for the worked missed when absent. All assignments are due when I collect them and will be considered a day late if not turned in on time. Ten points will be deducted for each day an assignment is late due to an unexcused absence.
8. Students may not use the Internet without permission unless it is for a specified assignment.
9. Students may not download programs or plug-ins for the computer without permission.
10. Talk only when permitted. Do not talk when the teacher is talking or another student has been called upon by the teacher to speak. Classroom discussion or permission to talk quietly will be granted at times.
What happens if I do not follow these rules???? This information, along with the rules in your student handbook, serves as your personal warning for acceptable behavior in the computer lab. Other rules may apply as well, so pay attention when information is given in class. Offenses will be treated as follows:
First OffenseVerbal Warning
Second OffenseParent will be notified Conduct Notice will be issued
Third OffenseStudent will receive a referral. Action will be decided by principal(s). |
