     The Mayans would give sacrifices to the rain god Chac here in the well. The Mayans would sacrifice people, precious stones or items which were valuable into the well. In the well, at least 40 set of bones have been discovered by archaeologist which were sacrificed to the rain god. The well is 285 feet in diamater with a water depth of 40 feet. (Fergson & Royce, 1977

Temple of the Warriors

     The temple of the Warriors is very similar to a temple found in Tula. The warriors in Mayan society were at times equal in status to the priest. The Temple of the Warriors is also known as the Temple of the Thousand Columns. These set of columns are 600 feet by 75 feet. This type of architecture using columns, was the first of it's kind in the Mayan areas.
