Class Rules and Expectations

 

1. Be on time with all necessary materials. (See List).

2. When you enter the classroom: go to your assigned seat, check the board for announcements, get out your materials (listed on board), and begin your warm-up activity.  You will be allotted 5 minutes to complete the warm-up activity.  Then wait quietly for Ms. Annon to begin class.

3. Be considerate. This means that you are silent when others are speaking and if you wish to speak, you raise your hand and wait to be recognized.

4. NO FOOD, DRINKS, or GUM!!!!!!

5. Computer lab usage is at my discretion. DO NOT interrupt my lecture to ask if you may go use a computer; the answer will be no.

6. Go to the bathroom before class starts. Do not interrupt my lecture to ask if you may go; the answer will be no.

7. Take care of business from your other classes on your time. My class time is for Spanish. If you are working on another class’ assignment during my class time, I will take it and see that you receive a zero for that particular assignment.

8. Classwork and homework are due on the dates assigned. Any work not turned in on time will receive a zero. LATE WORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. PERIOD!

9. If you talk during a test, quiz, or assignment – it will automatically be considered cheating and you will receive a “0” for the assignment.  All questions should be directed to Ms. Annon.

10.   If you are caught copying another person’s work, both you and the person you are copying from will receive a “0”.

11. If you miss a class, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to get all of the make-up work.  All make-up work will be listed on the class website.  You may any worksheets that you missed from the class website.  You must do this on your OWN TIME! NOT during class.  Any questions regarding make up work should be brought to Ms. Annon at the beginning or end of class.  NOT during!

a. You may have FIVE days to make up missed work. This means five calendar days, not five class periods. Any missing work not received within the five days will receive a zero grade.

b. There will be NO retaking tests or quizzes (unless you have an accommodation which provides for it).

c. If you lose a worksheet it is your responsibility to go on to the class website and print a new one ON YOUR OWN TIME!.   NOT during class! I will not keep extra copies!

d. When someone has a question you are expected to listen to both their question and my answer.  Do NOT ask a classmate for help during an assignment.  All questions should be directed to Ms. Annon

e. NO CELLPHONES OR HEADPHONES!

The bell does NOT dismiss class.  Ms. Annon does.  Stay in your seat until you

are dismissed.  NO ONE is permitted to wait at the door for the bell to ring.

 

All school rules set forth by the Student Handbook will be followed in this classroom
