Coach Froemel is a Suffolk native who attended Ferrum College and graduated from Elon College. He played football at Ferrum College.

Coach Froemel has extensive coaching experience. He has coached football for 17 years, baseball for 14 years, and softball for one year.

Coach Froemel is a Health and Physical Education Teacher at King's Fork High School. He also serves as the Department Chairman for the Health and Physical Education Department.

Coach Froemel coaches the Varsity Girls' Softball team and serves as an Assistant Coach for the Varsity Football team. Coach Froemel was named the Southeastern District's Softball Coach of the Year during the 2007 Softball season.
