Coach Jefferson earned one of her two Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and the other degree in Human Services Counseling from Old Dominion University. She received her license in Special Education from Cambridge University. Currently, she is working on her Masters in Special Education at Cambridge University.

Before coming to King's Fork, Coach Jefferson coached at Chesapeake City Parks and Recreation for five years. As part of the King's Fork High School coaching staff for the 2007 - 2008 season, Coach Jefferson assisted the King's Fork Varsity Girls to a the SED championship. Also, Coach Jefferson is currently the Lakeland JV Girls' Soccer coach.

Coach Jefferson is a Special Education teacher at John F. Kennedy Middle School. At John F. Kennedy, she is the Intramural Sports Coordinator for all sports.
