Coach Wright received his Bachelors degree from Norfolk State University in 1991. He works in the Electrical Design Engineering Department at Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding.

Coach Wright played four years of basketball under the legendary Charles O. Christian. He was a member of the 1990 CIAA Championship Team.

Prior to coming to King's Fork High School, Coach Wright was an assistant at Nansemond River High School for four years under Franklin Chatman. Coach Wright is a also a volunteer Pop Warner Football Coach and an AAU Basketball Coach.

Along with coaching basketball, Coach Wright is an assistant footbal coach at King's Fork High School.
