Coach Tony L. Johnson is a 1996 graduate of Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth City, NC where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Technology Education and Psychology.

Coach Johnson came from Easton High School in Easton, MD. At Easton he served as the Head Varsity Boys' Basketball and Outdoor Track and Field coach. In 2006 he was named the StarDemocrat Mid-Shore Coach of the Year for Boys' Basketball and Outdoor Track and Field after both his teams were named Regional Runner-ups. During his tenure as track coach, he produced the school's first AA State Champion in the Boys Long and State Runner-ups in the High Jump and 800 meter Relay. Prior to his stint in Easton, he was an Assistant Varsity Boys' Basketball coach and Head JV Boys' Basketball coach at North Dorchester High School where helped lead the team in 1999 to its first 1A State championship in the school's history. He also served as a MPSSAA Volleyball Official for the past 11 yrs.

Coach Johnson, after teaching and coaching for 11 years on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, is currently a Career and Technology Education teacher at King's Fork High School.
