Coach Worrell received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from James Madison University. During his time at James Madison, Coach Worrell served one year as a graduate assistant for the Mens' Basketball team.

Before coming to King's Fork, Coach Worrell had been an assistant basketball coach for six years. He coached four years at Harrisonburg High School and two years at Lakeland High School. Coach Worrell was also the Boys' Soccer and Boys' Volleyball coach at Lakeland during the 2003-2004 school year.

Coach Worrell is a Physical Education Teacher at King’s Fork High School.
