The Yearbook Staff aims to produce the school yearbook on time and under budget. In order to be a member, students must uphold a 2.5 GPA, must fill out an application, and receive a teacher recommendation.
Research shows that yearbook students:
- have higher grade-point-averages
- scored in the 81st percentile in the English portion of the ACT test
- were more involved in extracurricular activities
- write better in 17 of 20 comparisons of collegiate writing
- are ‘doers’ in schools—they’re more involved in co-curricular and community activities
- have better high school and college grades
- college students who were members of a high school journalism staff had higher overall grade-point averages than students who were not members of a high school journalism staff
Dates to remember:
If seniors need to have casuals taken, they can call Lifetouch at 420-9417 to make an appointment.
