3) What is one high school class that you wouldn’t want to take again? Why? Any math class! I loathe math! (Which is why I am an English teacher!)

4) What is your biggest pet peeve about students? Cell phones and Ipods!

5) What is your favorite thing about teaching? Summers off!

6) What is the funniest excuse you ever heard from a student? “See what happen was...it flew out of my car window and I had to go and chase it and then a truck came by and tore it all up.” (What creative students I have.)

7) What kind of high school student were you? Average, I over-achieved in the social aspect of school.

The Pound Post wanted to find the perfect student to interview for their ‘Student of the Month’ article and no one was better then Charlotte Cassell for the position. After all, she’s vice president of the drama club here at King’s Fork High so she knows how to get an audience going.  I Charlotte Cassell during my history block and this is what she had to say…

Hi.  My name is Charlotte Cassell but I like to go by my nickname CK.  Don’t call me that unless you’re a close friend of mine, because that would be really creepy otherwise.  (C= Charlotte K=Kaye) Get it sckrait? I am the vice president of the drama club mainly because drama is pretty much my life. Plus, my best friends, Cory Foster and Lauren Pinzon, are also officer’s in Drama. (Cory is the President, and Lauren is the Historian.) Right now, I play the role of the mother in the student-directed play Rapunzel Uncut.

Some other hobbies of mine include horseback riding, hanging out with my best friends, and helping the drama and child care department in my church group. Another hobby of mine is Egyptian Rat Screw (a card game, I win a lot and it drives my friends crazy), but they can get over that.  One major pet peeve I have is when people talk really loud and squeal when they are right next to each other. What is the point of that? Really? Currently, I am a senior at King’s Fork and I enjoy leaving early so I can spend more time with my friends.  After high school, I plan to be trained as a massage therapist at the Virginia School of Massage in Charlottesville. My favorite school subjects are Drama and Biology. If I could make my life into a movie, it would be called ‘Charlotte.’  Classy right? That reminds me, if I was famous I would make sure Paris Hilton wouldn’t be part of the limelight anymore. (She’s so annoying.) Anyway, you should help me develop my fame by coming to all our school’s plays! I promise they’ll be great!
