In order to be a Crimestopper, Officer Champagne only requires that the student stays out of trouble and is a model citizen.

The mission of the club is to set an example for other students by being good role models and law-abiding citizens.

Crimestoppers raise money by having car washes and fundraisers. When students who are not members help solve a school crime, they are offered a reward from the school.  If the information helps to solve a city crime, students also receive an award from the Suffolk Crimeline.

Crimestoppers have solved many crimes. In order to ensure the honesty of all its members, Crimestopper members take a pledge to report all crimes even those that may involve their friends.
